Lucy is based in London and has worked as a Freelance Arts Professional since 2008. Alongside her freelance work, Lucy is also a Teacher of Drama at a secondary school in London.
Training
A classically trained actor, Lucy has worked continuously in the arts, media and education since graduating from Drama Centre London with a Masters and Royal Holloway where she read Drama and Theatre Studies as an undergraduate. As part of her MA, Lucy spent 8 weeks living in Moscow, and took up residency at the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow, Russia, playing Yelena in Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. A further 6 weeks was spent at Shakespeare’s Globe where she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.
Lucy has also taken classes at the renowned HB Studio in New York. Lucy also has a PGCE from Goldsmiths University of London.
Live Performance
Lucy has a wealth of experience in performing on stage in theatres, royal palaces, heritage sites, corporate sites, museums and hospices. Highlights include performing at Wimbledon Theatre, the Edinburgh Fringe, Hampstead Theatre, Kensington Palace and Conway Hall.
Lucy is a regular Storyteller and Presenter at Buckingham Palace for the Royal Collection, including Charles II Restoration and Russia exhibitions.
Lucy is currently in Trailblazers at The Tower of London and part of the team for The Victorian Way at Audely End, English Heritage.
Film and Voice
Lucy has experience both in front of and behind the camera. As an actor and dancer, Lucy has appeared in feature film, music video, short film, and in various TV shows for BBC One and Proper Television Canada.
Lucy has directed and co-produced films and TV features for The Budokwai, CNN, The BBC, BT Sport and The Sports Presentation Company.
Lucy is also an experienced voice artist working in museum installation and ADR.
Coaching and Education
Lucy regularly runs drama based workshops and interactive education sessions at various locations in and around London.
Lucy offers life coaching sessions, working with private clients in public speaking, confidence building, British business culture as well as Drama, History and English to primary and secondary school students. Lucy is also available for audition coaching.
Lucy has taught period dance to American students on residency from Fordham University at their London campus and has worked with medical students from the American University of the Caribbean.
